“There’s no need even to have a college degree… at all, or even high school [...]. I’m looking just for evidences of exceptional ability and if there’s a track record of exceptional achievements, then it’s likely that it would continue for the future” stated Elon Musk, in a YouTube video.

Graduating a college, having a Master’s Degree or having an elaborate list of studies in your resume may utterly fail to impress employers when searching for a new job. Now, many business owners state that the importance of degrees has decreased considerably - what companies want is, in fact, people that are experts in what they do, that have the abilities and the skills that can make a difference in any industry. CVs lose the impact and the significance they once had, and companies want more reliable pieces of information regarding the candidates.

A quick look at the global education segment and the recruitment industry is enough to help us understand the problems and the opportunities created by these issues:

  • There are more than 30 million students in USA and Europe alone
  • More than 10 million startups are launched every year here
  • The value of the global online recruitment market will reach 23 billion dollars by 2020

How can this shift be done professionally, that offers the most benefits to individuals and guarantees the validity of data to employers and companies, without using traditional means of skills/abilities assessment?

Discover Skyllz - a distributed, meritocratic, transparent and unified platform to assess, validate and empower human skills, as written in the Official Whitepaper

How does it work?

Skyllz radically transforms the manner in which individuals find the most suitable jobs; also, it improves the way in which employers of all sorts get in touch with potential candidates. To do so, it creates an open ecosystem that has several important values, such as meritocracy, transparency and decentralization. This new platform was built to reinvent the entire process of talent appraisal and skills acknowledgment.

Workkola created Skyllz and the foundation of it, laid a consistent ecosystem:
The Skyllz Distributed Platform (SDP) - a public, open-source, blockchain-based and distributed skills-validation protocol.

What will it accomplish?

Skyllz mainly aims is to transform individuals (themselves) into their main assets.

The Skyllz Distributed Platform (SDP) has set a clear mission - to create a universal and evolving Human Skills Ecosystem that replaces CVs.

To gain a better understanding of the SDP, we must understand that the ecosystem is constructed on two different elements:

  • Proof-of-Skill - this component contains the reputation related to all specific skills on the SDP. It operates on the Ethereum Blockchain in order to prove its authenticity and validity.
  • SKT - an exchangeable ERC-20 compliant token that sustains the SDP ecosystem and its set of operations. Moreover, this Skyllz token allows individuals from across the world to take part, to confirm and authenticate their skills, across various applications.

To learn more about this platform and its set of features, download the Skyllz whitepaper and one-pager at https://skyllz.org ...and get ready to say goodbye to your old printed CV!

thank you for the post, but I still need the direction of the senior, I expect support from you by making posts for beginners like me.

Jack you are right no value our studies in today's world with out having of skills what we do in universities, if we have skills then company will hire us otherwise no value of our degree whatever we have. SDP is valued for everyone and people have to do hard work in every profession. Thanks for giving this information

This is very interesting! I will be checking out the Skyllz whitepaper! Thanks for sharing!

if a person fails to study education abroad, does not get results, then he gets nothing but experience, then during that he has done nothing.

Again another smart contract system that doesn't connect to the real world. How is the skill-level audited? Simply because you put it into a blockchain, doesn't mean the input is legit. People could easily just let their friend do whatever it requires to up the trust score and then get hired without any experience whatsoever.

Skyllz accomplishes the complete opposite with its system.
