2Local – Sustainability and Prosperity! 🔥

The transformation from competitive self-interest towards cooperative bridging is what I am going to discuss in this article.

Competitive self-interest.

The world at large is experiencing numerous challenges, and near calamities, which, unless dealt with, could have dire consequences. I am talking about issues such as social, environmental and climate crises. The issue of climate has always been there, with the earth as we know it about to die due to environmental pollution.

Industrial activities, human activities, and many others are some of the reasons behind environmental pollution. This consequently leads to the climate being adversely affected. All these issues are a result of the harmful effects of human activity on the biophysical environment.

There are also cases of depletion of natural resources, hunger, malnutrition, and poverty. When irresponsible people go around overexploiting our natural resources, the results are hunger and extreme poverty. It is sad seeing how people all around the world are dying because of lack of food, or lack of a balanced diet. Extreme cases of poverty are nothing new, with some citizens of developed countries being affected too.

These challenges are not only as a result of irresponsible, harmful activities but mainly due to the malfunctioning economic and monetary systems of neoliberalism. These might be issues of national concern, but when it comes down to it, honestly, people choose themselves first to survive. What happens to those who cannot afford to buy decent meal or decent clothes is discarded as their concern, not everyone’s.

As a result, there is a sense of overwhelming powerlessness, which has become a mass movement. Once the poor hit the desperation and hopeless rock bottom, it pretty much fuels the crises I have discussed above and keeps them going.

Cooperative bridging.

2 Local is all about changing these calamities, which clearly will continue affecting the world if nothing is done. The platform is working on transforming the disparity between the rich and the poor which is very wide. To be honest, it is about time that someone came forward and tried to end this menace once and for all.
2 Local team is ready for a re-evaluation of our values concept. This should be everyone’s goal, and it all begins with envisioning the kind of world that we want to live in and then working hard to achieve a system that is more sustainable.

The whole objective of the 2 Local platforms is to get the masses to see and believe that things can be handled differently and in a much better way. To achieve global effect, changes need to start being implemented from a local level. This is the ultimate goal of 2 Local to connect sustainability with prosperity.

CONCLUSION.

Climate and environmental crises are not something to be taken lightly as the effects of such issues are usually catastrophic. The world needs to be convinced that the ‘me first’ mentality is not the way to handle the calamities that we are facing currently. Supporting a platform such as 2 Local is the first step towards achieving a world where everyone is catered for. The idea of everyone being equal might be farfetched, but we can at least ensure that everyone has access to basic needs through supporting 2 Local.
