I was in the middle of some coffee talk at work when a colleague of mine (who I had been talking to about blockchain) brought up the news wrt Jamie Dimon. Working in IT, it is easiER to explain the technology and its benefits and why a big bank CEO would instill fear of Bitcoin. But then I started to think about explaining this to my neighbor, or my mother, or my kids and I know the conversation would be much longer and at the end of it, the only thing that would win them over would be my long-term trusting relationship with my close relatives/friends. But if I were to talk to try and explain to the mailman, to someone in line at Starbucks, or to a passenger sitting next to me on a plane... "why you should not listen to the CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase because his power is transferred to the people with Blockchain technology"... they would never believe me. Even if they were curious, they would still doubt the thought. And even if they did go researching, I think they would most likely get scared of the %25 lost forever Bitcoins, public/private keys, hot/cold storage, etc.
So my question is: what methods do you all think we can deploy to help educate all of society (age, education level, etc.) about the blockTrain coming and why it benefits the masses to get onboard.
