While AERGO enjoys significant strengths even at this early stage of development, it has equally exposed flaws that the project has, so far. Generally, it is impossible to claim that a project is perfect and not susceptible to any flaws. On the contrary, it is important to identify the flaws, evaluate their scale and effect to the project’s process, and this should be done as early as may be possible. Flaws may be regarded as a backlash to a project but they help to ensure that the project is worth the investment while also ensuring that measures are generated to inhibit the problems.
The Flaws
Unclear information: Although AERGO’s communication concerning some operations within the development project has been shared publicly, there is some vital information that the program has failed to communicate. Clarity in information conveyed concerning a new project is essential to the potential users of the project. For this new protocol, though developed by already established Blocko, information concerning major users’ worries are not clearly addressed. For instance, some of the frequently asked questions from users and enthusiasts including the potential of a public token sale have received a reply of uncertainty. Such replies often result in speculations concerning new developments which may lead to a negative perceptive developed by the potential end users. The users may speculate that the project does not really mean good as in its objectives. Moreover, there is limited information concerning its token ICO. This problem may limit the project’s persuasive power on potential end users.
Long waits for public release: Since its launch in April 2018, potential users will have to wait up to the first quarter 2019 (Q1 2019) when the project’s main network for public access is released. Currently, the AERGO Alpha and Beta versions have been released and with test networks for these earlier versions expected to deployed in Q4 2018. This long time may be unbearable for impatient users who may find other alternatives and develop a bad or misguided opinion concerning AERGO protocols. Although the project aims at providing unique solutions, other organizations may too come up with similar projects deployed within a short period and overtake AERGO.
Limited international reach: AERGO’s parent organization Blocko is South Korea’s largest blockchain infrastructure provider. Outside South Korea and China, the firm has limited reach to other enthusiasts and interested users. This geographically limited operation is a backlash to AERGO since it fails to meet the demands of several other expecting users and even developers. Also, Blocko’s limited operations outside South Korea and China may limit its embrace by users from other nations who might be unfamiliar to the new protocol. A limited reach also depicts the organization as a small player in the international market which is a misguided opinion as Blocko’s products have been essential to the blockchain ecosystem.
AERGO’s management now has the task to consider these flaws and set up mitigation measures that will ensure that the users do not have a dismissive opinion concerning the project but maintains a positive interaction with all users. Moreover, the parent organization should develop ways to ensure active multinational operations to increase its service access to the increasing demand for blockchain systems solutions.
