Since two weeks ago, Peepeth is free. Before that, you had to have some ETH to join and pay the gas price for signing blockchain transactions. You can now sign up and peep for free. To join, you will need only:

2. Metamask Wallet

Sign Up is going very quickly and… presto, you are a member!

Under the motto “Quality over quantity”, you can give one “like” per day, only in Peepeth argo, Like is called Ensō. The once-per-day Ensō encourages timeless content… whatever that means.

Bad News

Basic idea of Peepeth is that Social media is broken. Which is true for CENTRALIZED Social media. and then they say:

It is possible that Bevan Barton never saw Steemit. It is possible that he is not a fan of the idea of self-moderated community without any “parental authority”. However, he cannot defend the logical fault which implies that “broken social media can be repaired by removing free speech” because…

In conclusion: Peepeth is just another scared little penguin, marginally better than Twitter: It won’t abuse your data, but also won’t let you speak freely. Who, with Steemit account, would care?
