P.C.D.C — Auction House

When I think back on all of my childhood games I am given a nostalgic rush of late nights and “Final Boss” Levels. Games like Sonic, Mario, Duck Hunt, Tomb Raider, Metal gear, crash bandicoot, MORTAL KOMBAT & Tekken come to mind! We were all young once and loved this sense of strategy, competition and success!

But what do I have to show for it? Enhanced senses and reaction skills?

In the same thought I also loved collecting comic books and trading cards! Yu-gi-oh, Pokemon, Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth & Dragon Ball Z were my most treasured valuable item! But still I have nothing of value today. Yes, these physical items may still hold value, but I have no way to store thousands of collectibles; unless I hire a museum quality preservationist… Hence the birth of P.C.D.C — Auction House ( https://pcdc-auctionhouse.enjin.com/ )

Fast forward “Back to the Future”, a major company has created a way to combine “TRUE” ownership and “CROSS MARKET” integration! With the interest in Blockchain technology, “ENJIN”- recently celebrating 10 years, has built a robust ecosystem on the ETHEREUM network! Even more exciting, they have created an ERC-1155 “Multi Token Standard” for “Non Fungible Tokens”!

Simple Summary
A standard interface for contracts that manage multiple token types. A single deployed contract may include any combination of fungible tokens, non-fungible tokens, or other configurations (for example, semi-fungible tokens).

Abstract
This standard outlines a smart contract interface that can represent any number of Fungible and Non-Fungible token types. Existing standards such as ERC-20 require deployment of separate contracts per token type. The ERC-721 standard’s Token ID is a single non-fungible index and the group of these non-fungibles is deployed as a single contract with settings for the entire collection. In contrast, the ERC-1155 Multi Token Standard allows for each Token ID to represent a new configurable token type, which may have its own metadata, supply and other attributes.

The _id parameter is contained in each function's parameters and indicates a specific token or token type in a transaction.***

This new standard has now allowed a “MULTIVERSE” of opportunities like never before! Users can fully own these in game characters as a “Non Fungible Token” or NFT, and Games can allow bonus add features from other game items!

For example: Imagine Having a SUPER Mario “NFT” character! and collecting coins, stars and mushroom NFTs! Then being able to benefit or use those in-game items in Mortal Kombat, where you receive power-ups and so on! The combinations and expressions are endless…

And what’s even more exciting is the release of the ENJIN SDK, Software Development Kit; This allows Millions of developers to have access to the ERC-1155 standard and integrate this “Non Fungible Token” environment! Platforms like “UNITY” will be some of the first where we see this innovative technology THRIVE!

Yes we are still in the early stages of Blockchain & Crypto Technology, But I am one who champions “Mass Adoption”, and this feels like it will be one of the major ways the masses will catch on! Some of the immediate use-cases for this technology can be applied to ART, Music, Merchandise, Certificates, Deeds and more! A company can release QR coupons and the user can reveal the code or sell it in an Auction House like mine; Charities can give incentives to donate & gift the individual a Commemorative NFT, Events can use this to manage tickets and take attendance; so many more opportunities will be created as a business model from this!
