What do you think about ICOs? Overpriced or speculation occasions? Is the potential return worth the risk?

I never partecipated into an ICO, but these days I made some research about the topic.

What brought me to ask this question is the fact that lots of people think ICO are overpriced, and the risk is being left with a bag full of nothing.
My researches, at the contrary, led me to the conclusion that ROI is always high, mostly even higher that ETH.

Here are some proof of what I'm saying: https://icostats.com/

Seeing performances like +130000% (Stratis ROI since ICO) makes me wanna try to be part of the next good one.

My target would be STATUS.

What's your personal opinion about ICOs?
And what about STATUS? Do you think it's a solid project? Their whitepaper and detailed roadmap definitely got me into it!

There is kind of bubble in altcoins environment. But such great projects as well, time will tell who wins and who lose.

Definitely agree. Pump and dump dominates most of them, and it's hard to get which ones are worth something. I invested (not a big capital of course) in some of them which I strongly believe in, though. Time will tell!

I just invested in my first ICO Wagerr I wrote about it on my Steem post. Hopefully it will not be another pump and dump. But time will only tell.

The most important thing i look for in ICOs is if there is a cap. If not its a stay away, if so then I scale according to excitement about the project. There is a pretty reliable bounce on issuance so its worth spraying some small investments around, scaling into projects that seem promising, and maybe take some off the table if there is a big jump.
