A packed agenda, a few minor hiccups and adventures worth a lifetime of memories. These are the words that would best describe Metalyfe’s 5-day trip to Korea for the Blockchain Partners Summit (BPS).
Over the course of five days, Metalyfe met with key partners, amazed Korean crowds at BPS and cemented relationships for a bigger and better Asian presence in the coming months ahead.
The sizeable Metalyfe contingent
The Metalyfe cohort was no small group! We are proud to say that the team in attendance was over 10 members strong. Our team included Sheldon Inwentash, Ben Tran, Adi Sossover, Sameer Pirani, Daniel Febrero Martin, Daniele Monteleone, Emilio Soca, David Schirmer, Gemma Ferreras, and Jordan Black.
As such, our large contingent and being in a new country certainly presented its challenges. Some of these included longer-than-estimated commutes and unfamiliar accommodations. But we rallied and truly made the most of it.
Metalyfe would be amiss if we didn’t thank our team members for their team spirit. Their incredible show of support made the trip to Korea so much more meaningful.
No time wasted, meetings and movement forward
We had meetings lined up as soon as we got off the plane. We settled into our accommodations and then prepared to meet with incredible individuals. Our very first meeting was over a wonderful dinner with team members of BabiFinance – the media arm of Binance and the co-organizers of the Blockchain Partners Summit.
Hiccups, set-ups and rooftops
We were also excited to co-host a private rooftop party with our friends from Evident Proof (@evidentproof).
The party ended up being over 100-people strong and that night we secured investors and partnerships with some amazing people.
A Platinum sponsorship and two successful conference days
When Saturday and Sunday finally rolled around, Metalyfe enjoyed two days packed full of conference attendees. With over 800 and 1,300 attendees on Saturday and Sunday respectively, we certainly got the complete experience from our Platinum sponsorship.
With prime placement next to our popular friends from Tron, we received a steady flow of booth visitors. We demoed the product to at least 3 or 4 delegates at any given time and to say the least, we left them in awe. Some key mentions during panel discussions flooded our booth with even more delegates.
Daniel was even able to give a solo demonstration to Charles Hoskinson.
Our preparedness and team effort allowed us to enjoy key wins like this one.
Looking ahead
“As we increasingly spend our time and money online, the internet has resulted in people selling your personal data, composed of our individual identity, behaviour and footprints. You, the generators of this data have no share in it.” – Sameer Pirani, CMO Metalyfe.
“Facebook says data leaks hit 87 million users, widening the privacy scandal,” – Ben Tran, CEO Metalyfe.
With facts like this, the browsing and search industry needs to see change, and fast. That’s why the Metalyfe team is excited about its solution.
We’re committed to our promise to protect your data, your privacy and your digital identity. It’s the same commitment that has our Asian partners on-board.
Overall, the Blockchain Partners Summit was a great success and we want to thank the organizers for hosting an event with a high quality of speakers, presenters and attendees. The feedback about the Metalyfe vision as well as the Metalyfe browser was phenomenal.
Thank you to all our Korean friends for showing us your warmth, hospitality and faith in the Metalyfe solution. We look forward to being back and to bringing the solution to more Asian countries and users.
