Mushrooms and modern technology

in blockchain •  6 years ago

So this Paul Stamets fella that @rawutah turned me onto is really blowing my mind the more I think about it.

Y'all give that video a quick watch. This is information that everyone needs to hear.

The words he uses have a point, and in the first couple minutes, it became evident to me that we're not the first ones to have a blockchain. Mushrooms did it first.

Their net of interconnected units transferring nutrients and information. The fact that they have nodes. The fact that if you take out a node, the others are all still connected. It's a decentralized economic model!

There's so much to learn from these things, even beyond the basis and support of every food species on Earth...

Oh wow, the basis and support of every food species on Earth is a blockchain.......

If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is: Infinite.
-William Blake

What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 1:9

I feel like I'm making a breakthrough of consciousness.

Y'all have a blessed Wednesday.

He has found some amazing things fungi can do or be....

Really smart guy. I need more of this dude in my life. His ideas are so wild!

I LOVE THIS POST....bro!!! :)

Bro, as he was talking, it just became more apparent to me that they're all different blockchains. Different species working and communicating for the benefit of the entire network. It can't be destroyed by any attack because of it's level of decentralization. It's a perfect model for us.

While we aren't transferring nutrients on our blockchain yet, the #dfood movement is as close as we've gotten so far, and steem is making that possible like never before.

Sounds super interesting, got the link bookmarked for when i get a chance to watch it. Hope your well!

Very interesting! His Ted talk (the link) is a great little primer to the interview he did on the Joe Rogan Experience.
