introduction

Television ecosystem is currently broken. TV networks around the world abuse their market power as goalkeepers to increase prices for advertisers, lower payouts to creators and raise subscription fees for consumers. They actively discourage innovation in content delivery and advertising technology to maintain their oligopolistic position and benefits. Many consumers are really frustrated with the state of television broadcasts. They enjoy the lean-back nature of fixed program schedules, but want to see more premium content personalized for their viewing patterns and interests. At the same time, technology giants like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Netflix are looking to build their walled gardens around the television ecosystem, eager to gain more power through data and access to consumers.

We aim to build a direct relationship between consumers, content providers and advertisers (see Figure 1). Individual players are empowered to pursue direct interaction in blockchain, decentralize ecosystems and disarm oligopolistic TV networks, broadcast providers and technology giants, as they actively discourage open innovation. In section A.1, we validate our claim that the TV network is set up as an oligopoly. TV-TWO is divided into two layers. The first layer, which is inserted after starting the application, consists of broadcast signals with all standard TV functions. The second layer, achieved through pressing Enter on the remote control, displays a personalized video stream.

For the first launch of the app, onboarding is shown to explain basic functionality. After that, starting the app directs the user to the first layer - the channel is currently displayed in the TV window. Although the viewing experience has not changed, the Hbb banner ads sold by the TV network are hidden for users. Sometimes, a reminder of how to enter a TV-TWO video stream is displayed. Users have the following navigation options within the first layer of the app:

  • The guide displays the program guide, the return to the application is done after the guide is closed
  • Channel List displays channel list, return to application is done after channel list is closed
  • The Up / Down channel allows to set up and down, while displaying TV window with channel information
  • 0-9 allows to jump to different channel numbers directly
  • Right on the D-pad minimizes messages from TV-TWO
  • Return / Exit closes the application
  • Enter allows to switch between broadcast TV layers and streaming video layers

Thus, pushing Enter takes the user to the second layer inserted in front of the broadcast signal. Layers show video streams that are automatically customized with the user. In the first use, navigate the video stream is explained. In the fourth use, a survey of genre preferences is performed by pushing left or right on the remote. Similarly, at different points during the video stream, a short question is raised to the user for additional TTVs (for example, asking users for age lists). If there are no special situations like this, appropriate video links are requested and played. After the video is completed or skipped, progress is documented in the TWO TV ledger system. This process is automated through a supervised learning algorithm. Sometimes, a reminder to check the broadcast signal is displayed. In the video layer,

  • Enter allows to switch between broadcast TV layers and streaming video layers. In the video navigation bar allows to select elements
  • Up / Down Channels allow to switch to the next, previously, in-stream video
  • Up / Down on D-pad activates and closes, navigation bar with controls for video and up to date information on video length and play position
  • Left / Right on the D-pad allows to move in the current video navigation bar to play, pause, pause, fast forward, rewind or skip. TV-TWO messages can be minimized and short, surveys can be completed
  • Play / Pause / Stop / Fast Forward / Replay controls the video without the navigation bar

What is TV-TWO?

Apps for Smart TV are used as new gateways to linear broadcasts combined with personalized video streams as additional channels.

Blockchain

Technology to set up a new television ecosystem, with direct interaction between users, advertisers, and content producers.

Token

A special Ethereum-based token called TTV, Token for Television, will drive the ecosystem while ensuring security and fairness.

How does it work?

  • Step 1: Install your TV-TWO one Smart TV app.
  • Step 2: Sync your wallet from your TV to your other device.
  • Step 3: Watch your personalized Broadcasts and Video Streams.
  • Step 4: Check the token you've collected.
  • Step 5: Redeem your token for ether, Bitcoin or Fiat.

How is the scale?

To address the currently limited scalability and increase the latency and cost of ethereum transactions, we use off-chain signature patterns. State channels are used to facilitate interaction between market participants.

Interactive Coins Offer

Interactive Coin Offering (ICO), which is our crowdsale mode, was first proposed by Vitalik Buterin and Jason Teutsch to turn the crowdsales into a perfect information game. They took the unopened model and proposed the following rule:

  • Participants in the crowdsale bid and sell the maximum sales in which they are willing to participate.
  • If the sales amount reaches the maximum sales appraisal, the participant's bid is canceled and the contribution is refunded.
  • If they choose, participants have the possibility to withdraw their offer from the sale until the withdrawal withdrawal period is reached.
  • Increased discounts are given early in sales to motivate early participation.
  • Individual buyers may place multiple bids on different assessments.

Crowdsale

We will use the new and improved standard crowdsale of Interactive Coin Offering (ICO) to ensure a more fair and transparent assignment process.

Token Distribution

Token for Television (TTV) will be distributed as follows:

  • Available for Purchases: 500,000,000 Token for Television will be available for purchase. Relatively, 75% of all tokens will be sold to the public during crowdsale
  • Team: 15% of available tokens will be stored by TV-TWO. Token is given for three years.
  • Supporters and Advisors: 6% of available tokens will be provided to supporters and TV-TWO advisors
  • Campaigns: 4% of available tokens will be provided to supporters who have participated in Bounty and Marketing Campaigns
  • Market Maker: Any committed ETH that exceeds 90% of hard caps will be locked for two years in a smart contract. Smart contracts stabilize TTV prices by buying tokens back automatically, if market prices fall below the issue price
  • Unsold tokens will be burned
  • Other tokens will not be created in the future

Funds Allocation

collected in crowdsale will be used as follows:

  • Engineering and Development: 60% of the funds will be used to maintain and grow the Engineering team to accelerate the development of TV-TWO applications and their interactions with a decentralized TTV ecosystem
  • Marketing: 14% of the funds will be used to grow the TV-TWO user base with both TTV promotion and incentive efforts
  • Partner Engagement: 6% of the funds will be used to acquire content and ad partners committed to jointly develop the TTV ecosystem
  • Law and Administration: 10% of the funds will be used to cover legal and administrative costs associated with running TV-TWO
  • Contingencies: 10% of the funds will be set aside for unforeseen developments

Unsold tokens will be burned. The token of the team is held for three years. Any committed ETH that exceeds 90% of hard caps will be locked for two years in a smart contract. Smart contracts stabilize the TTV price by automatically buying token back, if market price falls below the issue price.
