Do you think U.S. government is protecting U.S. dollar from bitcoin?
Tim Draper:No I think they're all trying to figure out how it will work in their economy. And they're seeing this huge boom in virtual currencies and all the countries of the world are trying to figure out how do we manage in this new world, because what if this is more popular than our own currency or what if this does transform government. How does it transform government? And so governments get nervous. The banks get nervous. Lots of people get nervous.
But this technology is so important. It is the equivalent of the Internet dropping into our society. It's the equivalent of the horseless carriage. It's the equivalent of a new technology that is going to transform many industries and many governments. And I think the best governments are gonna say bring it here. They're gonna say hey we want bitcoin. We want ICOs. We want the blockchain. We want all the best entrepreneurs to come to our country because our country is gonna be open to all of that.
And I think that's what governments all across the world are struggling with. They know they're in competition with each other for us, for you and me. And for all those great entrepreneurs out there, and they're trying to figure out whether they can both keep sort of a semblance of their existing government.
But at the same time allow this new technology to come transform their world because the world's really going to be transformed and it's a matter of which governments get it. And the governments that get it and encourage Bitcoin to come to them, I think will be big winners in the next generation.
