We've had a busy few weeks, and we would like to give you a quick update of all the things going on!
Events
Blockchain Without Borders Token Expo in NYC (Aug. 30, 2018)
At the end of last month, our team attended Blockchain Without Borders Token Expo in NYC, where our COO Jenny Vatrenko and CEO Xu Yin showcased the necessity of blockchain governance and dispute resolution on the blockchain. We also participated in a pitch competition and won our first international trophy!
Slush Shanghai (Sept. 7–8, 2018)
A week later, Team Oath presented at Slush Shanghai, China's largest startup conference co-organized and sponsored by PWC, Tongji University, King & Wood Mallesons, VeChain, and many more. The event attracted over 15,000 attendees, including 1,000 startups, 500 investors, as well as 500 domestic and foreign media.
We won the first prize in the blockchain section and placed third in the overall contest among startups from innovative technologies in health-tech, IoT, and IoV.
Our Head of Community & BD, Michael Wurzinger, moderated a Panel with Founding Members of Wanchain, Ontology, everiToken, and Ruffchain, discussing the challenges and opportunities of the fast moving blockchain industry.
Oath Protocol Team also co-sponsored the Booth for CryptoMondays Shanghai, the largest blockchain community in the city.
Belt and Road, the First Digital City Conference in Xiamen (Sept. 8, 2018)
After Slush, Xu Yin flew straight to Xiamen, where Oath was one of the three projects invited to participate in the Belt and Road Digital City Conference - the most important and largest national innovation event in China. At the Conference, we won the Asean Youth Leadership Award and the Belt and Road Digital City Innovation Award.
Shanghai Blockchain Week (Sept. 7–12, 2018)
Blockchain enthusiasts from all around the world attended Shaghai's Blockchain Week, including the 2018 Global Blockchain Summit with Vitalik Buterin, David Chaum, and other prominent blockchain pioneers. On Sept. 10, we co-organized a blockchain networking gathering with DREP for all event attendees.
Only two days later, we were invited to an exclusive presentation of Mr. Francis J. Vassallo, former Governor of the Central Bank of Malta, who presented Malta's evolution to become the central hub for blockchain innovation in Europe.
OATH Team
We welcomed a new team member, graphic designer Haocheng Yin. Haocheng is a graduate of the Animation department of the China Academy of Arts in Shanghai, and brings years of graphic design experience to the team, focusing on illustrations and drawing. In the past, he has designed several mascots and illustrated for various brands.
This month, our co-founder Hongwei Wang, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is joining the team in Shanghai to focus on building our MVP, with the goal of releasing it ahead of schedule in Q4 2018. We will keep you updated on our progress!
OATH Community

The top ranked Tsinghua University is among China's oldest and most prestigious Universities, known for its close connection to Germany. We invited a group of Students to our Office and introduced them to the future with blockchain and Oath.

At the last minute, Consensus Labs invited us to attend this year's Consensus 2018 in Singapore from Sept. 19–21, 2018. We look forward to connecting with other projects, investors, and community members!
On Oct. 11–12, 2018, we will be at Blockchain Shift in Miami, participating in the blockchain pitch competition and educating the community about our project.
