New KYC Application Form Guide

Thank you for your interest in the Open Source University Project. All contributors must pass our new Know Your Customer (KYC) form to move on to the next step. KYC checks are necessary to identify participants.

Since the start of the project back in Nov 2017, OS University has implemented KYC in order to follow rapidly changing international regulations. By implementing KYC, the OS University project and participants will be protected from legal risks and will provide a more stable development environment for the foundation. It will also list EDU on cryptocurrency exchanges and enable better community connections.

You MUST follow the KYC process in order to participate in the OS University pre-sale. The EDU Token contribution process won’t begin, if you do NOT follow the KYC process or your KYC application is not approved.

Contributors who have properly submitted KYC applications will get a “You are Whitelisted” email. Contributors who have incorrectly submitted KYC applications or haven’t been approved will get a “Whitelisting Failed” email with the re-sending option available.

Just because a KYC form is submitted properly does not mean the contributor has passed the KYC process.

KYC Process:

Enter the OS University KYC page https://os.university/kyc

Step 1

Input necessary personal data (Email, Surname, Given Names, phone number — optional).

Step 2

1. Submit documents info (ETH address, Country).

2. Read the Whitepaper and the OS University Terms & Conditions carefully. After you finish reading check the box.

3. If you are not a US citizen, please check the last box.

Step 3

Please upload high quality images of your ID card or passport and a recent photo of yourself.

Read down below the acceptable form of identification and the rest of the requirements.

KYC Application Process:

• OS University team will review all KYC submissions and send Whitelisted/ Whitelisting failed emails.
• Qualified: If your KYC information is correctly submitted you will get a confirmation email and more information how to contribute to the project.
• Resubmit: If you have submitted incorrect information, you’ll receive an email with request to resubmit correct information.

Acceptable form of Identification (Must Include Photo):

• Passport
• ID Card
• Driving License

Non-Acceptable form of Identification:

• Facebook Profile
• Student Card
• Identification Card without Photo
• Credit Card
• Club Membership Card
• etc.

KYC Submission Disqualification Factors:

OS University team will send out emails to contributors who have submitted incorrect information such as:

Incorrect information input

Uploads of incorrect or unidentifiable identification photo

SCAM ALERT:

The KYC process is tax-free. Please beware of phishing attempts that ask for ETH.

Submission of Incorrect Personal Information:

OS University team does not store incorrectly sent personal information. Any personal information sent via messenger, social networks, or email will be deleted upon receiving. OS University team will not reply to the sender and will simply delete personal information sent through incorrect channels. Please only submit personal information through the KYC link on OS University website.

Expired Identification Information:

Expired identification documents are NOT valid forms of personal information. If your passport or government-issued photo ID is expired your KYC will not be processed. Please submit non-expired personal information during the KYC process.
