EDIT: OH @dan ! lol, I am still confused at the speed of the downvotes here. Is there something specific anti-Steem or SBD or Steemit with EOS or something? I know little about EOS other than by name, which I have seen it a lot and thought it was an Eth offshoot like Lisk or Waves or something, but I have zero clue.

I just got finished reading this page about Dan https://hackernoon.com/dan-larimer-visionary-programmer-of-bitshares-steem-and-eos-7e6d94b241d7 Bitshares, Steemit, and EOS.
I had no clue that Bitshares and EOS were his, and I still to this day do not grasp why Bitshares exist and I do not enter contests on Steemit if that is the prize, Steem or SBD only please thank you. I only say this because from my view the places I have seen Bitshares get its advertisement from always feels more or less of a pyramid scheme type thing going on, in the sense that I don't see what the value of what Bitshares is, so from my view I only see people with ownership of it already just wanting others to join and never giving the reasons why, which is just a flag to me. I am sure Bitshares has real purpose, just when it has been shown to me, it's like a crypto faucet with no real reason by to lure you in.
If you got time, I'd love a reply on maybe what EOS and why it is, and any speculation on why anyone would not want others to know about it?

EOS purpose is to be blockchain operating system to allow easy implementation of blockchain technology. I think its quite promising.

Seriously send that users a message, he does cool work on Steemit that seems to have no bias that I see so far, which is key because as long as I have used Steemit I purposely stay away from the backend soap opera drama that definitely goes on.
I know people sometimes think it unfair if a whale votes or downvotes something because their power is so high or they band together, I would argue they are using the system and it's tools, doesn't mean we all have to do the same, but hopefully the longer term solutions won't look like that.

Eh, I mean that is on you, sometimes I have passed links to him for others who I'm sure would have never even known such "services" exist, but I guess if this is a one off thing and people are targeting your account but just this specific post. It just does seem way off because the content of your post itself was so short and sweet and pleasant, you offered to buy a drink for strangers and you got downvoted, heavily lol. Good luck in whatever you choose to do with this, sorry it occured, I enjoy your posts here and hope anyone can see the variety of things you post so just all weird is all to see this from someone in my feed.
