I agree that Bitcoin is more viable for large transactions, but what is the point of using Bitcoin instead of another crypto. For example, LTC is faster and XMR is more anonymous.

I do agree Lightning Network will help with the off-ledger transactions that will speed up a lot of aspects, but at the same time there's other coins like Lisk that already do this. Furthermore, the Lightning Network won't increase the ease of buying a coffee at Starbucks, since that's only one transaction that will have to be added to the blockchain and thus would incur immense fees and time commitment in comparison to the transaction.
