Which Publicly Traded Companies do you see failing in the future?

in blockchain •  6 years ago  (edited)

With the growth of blockchain tech, we will see a large amount of dapps in this space that will make today's companies obsolete. Dapps will make these "middlemen" companies useless and eliminate their operating/profit margins.

Which industries do you guys see failing when innovative dapps get released and become widely used?
I think travel/booking sites may see a decline. Tutoring/online marketplace companies may see declines due to many of them taking 10-15% fees, eliminating costly intermediaries. With dapps there will be no more fees like that, the buyer/seller will get an advantage.

Maybe even dropbox might fail.

So tell me, what industries do you see becoming obsolete once revolutionary dapps are widely used?

I don't know if this is too obvious, bit isn't the electronic cash business, like credit card companies or PayPal the ones who are most affected by this?
Instead of paying for your services with the traditional e-cash services you can now pay for them or being payed by them with crypto currencies.

Yes, they were in my head as well. Who knows maybe they might adopt Visa or mastercard - bitcoin credit cards or something of that nature.

But as we move into a more digital age, I can see armored trucks businesses that carry loads of cash going out of business

Armored transports are probably the last ones who are going out of business. Even with all the digitization that's going on, there will always be material goods of value that have to be moved from A to B.

interesting post 👍 have a great day!
