I'll be honest, I've been in the hedge fund industry for over a decade. Last October, I diversified and invested in cryptos at the urging of some tech industry friends. I rode the wave and then hodl'd through this recent crypto winter. Luckily, I only invested what I could afford and see it as a long term investment in what's to be the most significant asset class since the advent of the internet. Fast forward to where we are now and I think once our first tax season is over, regulation gets hammered out, and institutions finally pour in from the sidelines; we'll see the real bullish boom that December and January previewed.
At the same time I was starting my personal finance project to help millennials #savethatmoney (in a new, funny, & engaging way). For some background: I'm self made, grew up with a dad who had cerebral palsy, and hence grew up on disability insurance. But with enough planning starting early, scholarships, and more; I was able to get to where I am.
Now I'm passing those lessons down and the first episode helps to break down some of the general ideas of blockchain and cryptos - a good primer I'd say to pass on to some noobs looking to get into the space. We talk philosophy, technology, fiat, Libertarianism, and more. Please support and share the project, and stay tuned for upcoming episodes on all things money.
