[One of MALAWI, One of MYSELF] #1 Speed of Network(South Korea VS Malawi)

in blockchain •  7 years ago

Hi steemers!
This is very first time to tell you about network condition of malawi.
As I informed at the prolog, I'll start it from the speed of network.

Not to mention, it is reeeeeeeeeally slow.
I felt very hard to get used with it because I was coming from South korea which has the best internet environment in the world!

we should spend more than 5 hours to download a video like a film, and can;t keep watching just Youtube or facebook video becuase of buffering.
It makes me mad!

Of course, it is up to the company which offers network.
Also it is very changable where your location is.

So, anyway,
I'm going to compare the speed of network in South korea and malawi.
I found this web-site called fast.com

(determining the speed now)

I know I can't evaluate the quality of network with only the speed, but it is the easiest way to compare for normal people not professional!

I dertermined,
1 Malawian mobile network user
4 Korean mobile network users,
3 Korean wifi internet uesers

*Date: 19th of Sep, 2017
*determined by fast.com

8th : Malawi/AIRTEL:1.9MB/s

(*Nobody can miss it...^^)

7th : South Korea/Mobile A : 5MB/s

6th : South Korea/wifi A : 5.7MB/s

5th : South Korea/wifi B : 8.7MB/s

4th : South Korea/wifi C : 15MB/s

3rd : South Korea/Mobile B: 69MB/s

2nd : South Korea/Mobile C: 100MB/s

And

1st : South Korea/Mobile D: 120MB/s

1st one is 60 times faster than Malawi.

When you want to download 120MB of any file,
you will spend only 1 second in South Korea,
but in Malawi you should spend 1 minute.

When you use 1 minute in Korea,
it means you must use 1 hour in Malawi.

I thought the internet condition should have the priority for blockchain system, so wondered how it can be universal in the low-developed countries like malawi.

As a ordinary person who doesn't have deep knowledge,
I can't see any other way to do until the power system and internet condition will be stabilized.
Can you see something that I can't?

Just I wished these low-developed countries could join this gerneration of change as the important participants of the world, sadly I used to feel that would be impossible.
Hope the people as many as possible can concern this issue with me:-)

Next, I'll let you know the kind, price, and feature of the network service that we can get in Malawi.

Thank you for reading!

+additionally
You can enter the web-site, and check yourself!
It doesn't give you any harm.
I don't take any benefit friom the this page :-)
