Not allowing illegal content is not the same as censorship.

Defining something at hate doesnt make it illegal.
Illegal content is breaking copyright laws or videos where crimes are committed.
Just because what someone does is filled with hate does not make it illegal.

As far as I have heard they planned to mark hateful users as trolls and people have the option to mute trolls. At least thats what I heard on the topic. Seems more like a voluntary censorship.

For me, it's about a 'crowd conscience' I guess. If hateful content is ignored, there's less incentive to post more.

That could well be true although hate has a huge following. The old saying one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. People have all kinds of perspectives, some pretty outrageous. Sadly, watching the evening news and they promote the negativity. All turn to the political shows and you see the bomb throwers on there.
What is really interesting is that no matter how far out a view is, the people who believe it feel justified in their views and there is usually a following.

Yes, but hopefully if enough people downvote, it won't get automatically shared by everyone, which is I think a problem on Facebook. People share based on headlines and who posted it. that gives it a wider audience than it would otherwise get.
