HARA : Farmers of Indonesian Get Loans Thanks to Blockchain Technology

The blockchain technology has succeeded in helping 11 thousand Indonesian farmers get agricultural credit and insurance. Already more than 10 percent of registered farmers have made savings and loans with bank.

Regi said, HARA focused on recording farmer data because in general the data movement in Indonesia was still not bright. "Land, population and all kinds are still dark, and especially agriculture." According to Regi, when he started this business last August, it was difficult for him to get the trust of the farmers and the surrounding environment. They consider this effort to be only a trick. He claimed that when starting a business, the first thing to do was to ask permission from the local government for Kulonuwun. "We say that this is an effort to invite farmers to be independent but not to use government funds." Regi claimed to have received support from the local government after learning that his efforts helped accelerate the online data collection process.
