You don’t have to be an expert to see that areas like car rentals, taxi services, public transportation, private airplane flights or even bicycle renting have some significant drawbacks - yes, we are talking about the multiple issues that users and companies are dealing with, now, in 2018. Most of the times, a lot of paperwork is needed, or transactions and operations are very delayed. The registration of various services requires a lot of resources. As a customer, often, options are very limited.

And though recent centralized or independent services that were developed to face some of the problems seem to attract more and more of the world’s attention, they are not actually addressing the actual issues. Nor they are effectively targeting to change the paradigm of this huge global market. How should these problems be approached? Let’s have a quick look at one of the boldest, most attractive and efficient platforms ever designed to improve the transportation market:

Introducing Helbiz - peer-to-peer vehicle sharing

We are living great, revolutionizing times, when decentralizing the data becomes the norm and gives people the fantastic opportunity to transform operations or entire industries. That is why some of the buzzwords of the last years are peer-to-peer. This phrase, initially born in the IT industry, is associated with the concept of computer networks that can act as servers not from a central unit but through, the input of each computer. This system permits shared access to files (or peripherals) as it is, eliminating the need for a central server.

So how does this influence the transportation area?

Correlate the peer-to-peer concept with the advantages offered by the Ethereum Blockchain - “an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract (scripting) functionality. Ethereum is considered to be one of the pioneer platforms in distributed ledger and blockchain technology" and add a set of unique features to it. - Source: Wikipedia

What do you get?

  • A modern, intuitive and extremely affordable way of renting almost all sort of vehicles (from bicycles, motorbikes to cars, jet flights etc)
  • A system that repays its users for the data they share and the actions they choose to make
  • A complex mobility ecosystem that offers access to various transportation options
  • A Blockchain based platform powered by its own tokens (HelbizCoin - HBZ)
  • An increased focus on the customer
  • A peer-to-peer vehicle sharing that transforms the rental process as we know it; it makes it instantaneous, with a few simple interactions with a dedicated phone app. Did you know that Helbiz transforms your phone into a digital ignition key?
  • A new way to extend insurances to all the parties involved
  • A seamless blockchain child of Airbnb, Hertz, and Uber

Thus, just like Salvatore Palella, the founder of this platform states, “Helbiz is decentralizing the sharing economy, ensuring lower prices and higher earnings for all users, while monetizing the data for the individual user.”

Moreover, Helbiz is just about to launch its very own presale (with attractive discounts), on the 15th of February! Learn more about this platform, the ICO, download the whitepaper and spread the news - start by visiting https://www.helbiz.com/

Wow!!! This sounds an awful lot like airBnB? So am I understanding correctly by thinking that anyone will be able to offer up their vehicle as a rental? I am thinking that this would all be regulated through peer to peer smart contracts and that ultimately the high cost middle man will be cut out completely.
If this is the case then there will be an incredible amount of interest in this platform. I'm already thinking of those people who are in and out of town on business for just a day or two, there are many people that choose to drive because once they arrive on a trip they will need a car. If the cost and middle man was reduced then this would be more reason to fly. I will be watching closely as this one develops and comes to market. Great share and Thank you.

Are you still doing the ICO in these market conditions?
Good luck! It's an excellent idea!

The application I meant, not the ICO at this time :)
