Blockchain, the peoples greatest weapon to fight global corruption and inequality?

Hello world, I believe we have come to a point in time where the greatest opportunity to redistribute the worlds wealth more fairly exists. I believe the worlds current form of capitalism is only working for the few and not the many, benefiting global corporations before the people.
I want to make it clear now this is not an attack on capitalism, but an attack on the governments that allowed the selling off of their powers to the highest bidder which when put into practice is crony capitalism. An example of this is, capitalism would not have allowed for the bail out of the big banks and their loss to be socialized, and profits privatized.
The problem with these powers being sold off to the highest bidder is, that global corporations have no allegiance to countries and they represent the the top 0.1% of society. The recent paradise papers leaks reveal a small taste of what the world's elite get up to, they avoid paying as much tax as possible, they influence politics and the legislation that follows, and they control the mainstream media's narrative.
So whats different now? Blockchain is whats different now, it's a new distributed ledger technology that has the potential to be implemented into all aspects of life making them more transparent, safe, decentralized, auditable, less corrupt, democratic, and more efficient. Some examples are banking, voting, healthcare, cyber security, government systems, supply chain management, environment, insurance, information storage in cloud, charity, energy, content creators, retail, and real estate. Basically any business or industry that deals with data or transactions will be effected in the near future.
The Blockchain will change the world for sure, i just want it to be the people's weapon and not just another weapon for the elites to profit from. Anyone that knows what the Blockchain is should be shouting as loudly as they can, to as many people as they can, we can change the world, there is a way. I never want to hear another person say, 'there's nothing we normal people can do', because it's simply not true anymore, now we have the greatest weapon ever to make society more fair, we just need to wield it right.
A revolution is not just possible it's already underway, with the banking industry being one of the first to feel the pressure of the Blockchain with more and more people choosing a decentralized banking method over the current centralized methods. The banks first tried to discredit Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market saying it was a scam and a bubble, until they came to the conclusion they couldn't stop them with lies, so they have now started creating their own cryptocurrencies to try retain as much power as possible. The banks are going to try centralize a decentralized technology for profits, but if people learn about Blockchain they can destroy these big greedy banks and other global corporations returning the power back the people. We just need the Blockchain to be wielded properly, with as many people using it for good as possible rather than profit.
Through social media platforms like Steemit, i encourage people who know what the blockchain is to make as many people aware of what opportunities it offers society and not to just focus on the profits. I understand what i have written today will have little effect on the grand scale, but if only one person was to learn something new and pass it on, i would be happy, because if everyone did the same the world could really be a better place.
