My stage name is STEVEE (aka Steve Elliott). I was born in London into a family of professional classical musicians. At the age of six, The Beatles blew me away and any thoughts of following a classical path went out of the window. The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix and of course the Fab Four provided the soundtrack of my early years. I hankered for a guitar and at the age of 10 my dad bought me a Spanish guitar on the understanding that I study classical guitar. I went along with that but some time later Telecasters and steel string acoustics took over.
I started writing songs when I was around 14 and the business of writing continues to fascinate. My songs have been published by EMI. The perfect pop song – ‘3 minutes of magic,’ that’s what it’s all about! I've written some pretty good ones but of course The Beatles set the bar very high for perfect
I write both music and lyrics and often collaborate with other songwriters.I'm now based in Moscow, working with Anton Khabibulin, a fantastic guitar player, arranger and producer, plus the Horsepower band with awesome rhythm section of drummer Peter Ivshin and bassist Sergey Geyer. You will often find us hanging out at Mars Records in Moscow, working with stellar engineer and mix man, Nik Lukjanovs, whose wife Ruzanna provides gorgeous backing vocals .

I like their model: fans play for free while musicians get paid. It's a very supportive community - of course musicians are fans as well and we make sure we play each other and tip $MUSIC coins.
