BlockTrades web site was down for a few hours due to large-scale datacenter/network issues today, back up now!

Just a quick note to anyone who wasn't able to access our site for a few hours, we are once again accessible. Our web hosting provider experienced severe problems with their datacenters and networks early this morning, so we've temporarily pointed the Domain Name Service (DNS) record for our site to a different server until they resolve their problems. If anyone still has a problem accessing our site, please let us know.

Thanks for the update!

glad to see that you resolve all problems fast!

The website is very slow. Taking upto 10-15 seconds to load. Normally it loads in 3-4 seconds. Also, trade is off.

Try refreshing, that error can happen the first time you visit the site. In this case, since we moved to the new server, your web browser has to reload the code for the site.

Yes, it's back. Thanks for the hint.

Of course, me too

a while ago I have opened the blocktrades site. because I was already planning to buy a delegate. but the price of the delegation is expensive. 1 steem 37,383 delegates. no longer like a few days ago. ie 1 steam 49.3 delegates. Why did it happen? please give me the explanation? I really can not understand it. thanks @blocktrades.

Good catch @boyasyie

Oo..thanks so much. I always follow you

The service originally got turned on while I was away at SteemFest, and when I got back I found that it was below our intended price, so we changed it.

ooo ... i understand that. really a plausible explanation. thanks so much

In other words, 2 million sp was leased out so fast that they realized they can charge more for it :)

A mistake in the price is fine but they should probably tell people about it. 20% price increase without any mention is bad business.

yes .. i think so too

The prices are right on our web site as they are subject to potentially continuous change. We never advertised a particular initial price, nor will we make some special announcement every time the prices changes, that would make no sense as our site already reports the price.

And no, your reinterpretation of what I said is not accurate. You can propose whatever reason you think is the real reason for why we changed the price (and you would be wrong), but it is not "in other words" it's in "in your opinion".

In all fairness m8. "And no, your reinterpretation of what I said is not accurate" - come on.

"Nope, it's not a bug, we redid our calculations today and decided it was too cheap."

That is a direct quote from you. That is not me playing fast and loose with words. So you don't think the fault is with you and your failure to relay an important change to your service? You will probably be doing another sneaky flag on this in a few days ^^

Seriously though, selling over half your stock then changing your price without telling anyone is bad business at best, deceitful at worst.

I do not see how the price being on the site is relevant, many people would have checked the site previously and presumed the price / ROI is the same. You have to agree that will at least confuse some people.

You simply have no clue what youre talking about. I had basically already reached an agreement about the sale of 1 million SP delegation BEFORE we even announced the delegation service. It had literally nothing to do with the price change. The initial price ratio that we set was simply an error, pure and simple.

We haven't once implied a particular price other than we were initally planning to be around the same price as minnowbooster. Because of the error, we actually had very significantly undercut them, as some people pointed out. Nor have we once implied that this price was constant: for good reason, it won't be.

It's clear from your comments that you have some kind of axe to grind. You take everything I post and re-interpret in the most negative light possible. From your last comment about the "sneaky downvote", maybe you're the guy who got the silly upvote from dan, that I cancelled. If so, ask yourself, did your two-line comment deserves $27 USD? As far as being "sneaky", I left it there long enough to allow for people to express their opinions, then knocked it down in the comments so that discussions I considered more useful to our customers weren't buried by one long thread.

I did not write any two line comment, I very rarely do. I expressed my opinion and explained why I felt so. You flagging me also had no impact on the layout of the page or knocked down anything I said. The two line comment you flagged, I responded to and you flagged me 2. Of course that pissed me off

I like your posting .post is good. i want to be like you are a lot of fans. and i need your support in achieving the ideals in order to become a good artist. i need support from you.

Hi @blocktrades some days ago i have made a 5steem transfer for btc bc9ff264-fc14-4176-808f-d091fa8fcd8c without an account, could you please check it

I've manually refunded as you didn't send enough to pay the fixed bitcoin transaction fee.

Hello @blocktrades .. i have request STEEM > Litecoin but i have sent from my Steem account SBD instead of STEEM. And of course i didn't get it on my LTC on Coinbase. Can i get refund or ? Here is transaction: https://steemd.com/tx/e4bc690495c52a90074690117e82d760b0c8749d

I've refunded it.

Hey a few hours ago I sent you guys sbd for delegated steempower, but I still have not received it.

You sent 0.015 SBD, this is below our minimum delegatable amount (the blockchain limits us to a min delegation of 2 STEEM).

Is 5 SBD too small to send you ? I sent you 5 SBD (to convert to Bitcoin and send to my Wallet) and received the Following Failure Message: Transaction State
permanent_output_failure_input_too_small ...... Do you eventually refund my 5 SBD or do I just lose it forever ???

I've manually refunded it. With current bitcoin transaction fees, I recommend transactions of 30 SBD or more to get an acceptable rate (and more is better).

OK - Thanks . Much appreciated.

that means which i sent you 0.362 SBD
will not receive payment? Please check it and if possible refund it to me @blocktrades

i mistakenly put the bitcoin address as the memo :(
is there any way for this to be fixed?

sure, I've refunded it

and due to which i had to use other network and lost some coin :( blocktrades is the best

Thanks for the update

I made a transfer to blocktrades yesterday, but I have not received any payment. Please kindly transfer my sbd back to me.

thanks for the info

Thanks four information....

good luck follow me @ fadil94 and upvote

I was worried about that because I used @blocktrades today to buy some Steem and get it into my account. Even though the website was down, I successfully received my 85 Steem that I got to my Steemit account using the amazing exchange of yours. Glad you showed up in my feed and would be kind of you to send some Steem love on the post in which I hope that Steem will rise again!

Resteeming this post for others' information.

Yes, our transaction processor is hosted on a different ISP than our web site, so we didn't experience any problems on the transaction processing side of things.

Expect to get downvoted if you are asking for "some steem love" to whales.
