England have made it into the last 8! Columbia were tough opponents, and England did well to stay calm during the headbutts and the gamesmanship to win on penalties - something that has not happened in a long time!

I was tempted to put four 1 - 1 draws here, but that is a bit boring. Instead, England and France to win in normal time, and Russia and Belgium sneaking through on pens and extra time.

I don´t think Belgium will have the same luck they got with Japan, Brazil will score and Belgium doesn't have a great football considering that they have so many stars.

This year it is hard to predict - what counts for Brazil is that they are the only of the top teams with a strong defence so it will not be that easy but Belgium is hungry - we will see - I used to love Brazil always as a player - but I hate Neymar - what an idiot :-)

I liked France from the start, and think that Belgium can beat Brazil who've not been tested in defence so far. Can they handle Lukaku?

I am sure Brazilian defense is qualified enough to handle Lukaku but not sure keeper Alisson could handle penalty shootouts as he hasn't been tested so far.
So, I hope Brazil would win it within 90 + 30 minutes. France is my second favorite if Brazil goes home.

Everyone in the pub was saying I was mad when I said at the beginning of the game if it goes to penalties we'll win.
Reason being I'm an Arsenal fan and have seen Ospina up close and personal, I also remember the shootout Colombia had with the Dutch four years ago, when Holland brought on their giant keeper just for penalties, and Ospina missed every single one by the few inches he needed on his height!
Somebody did remind me though that there are 2 sides to the penalty equation; that's when I got nervous! :-)

Ospina does look a bit short, nice research there! Pickford isn't exactly tall, and I think both keepers made a good save in the shootout.
I'm just happy that the Ibra isn't on the field on Saturday - he has been the difference between the sides on a couple of occasions, and so I actually think we have the upper hand on Saturday.
We should get a 'fairer' match, the Swedes aren't renowned for dirty play, and so hopefully the game will flow and it is England who'll do the biz. Cheers!
