The Pressure of Age

Many times I've come across the phrase 'Age is just a number' and while I was in my teens this didn't made any sense. I always used to wonder why do you even have to mention that!? Why age has to be such a big fiasco in someone's life!? Later on, as I was growing up and the pressure of achieving things by a certain age took a toll on me I found myself completely lost and left behind.

Whatever targets are set by the society that you need to start doing or finish doing by a certain age brings in so much of pressure which converts into frustration when you fail to do so. You need to graduate by 22 and immediately have a job, get married by this and that age and what not. Whilst making all these unsaid norms we forget to register the fact that every person is different and you cannot confine people to follow a set pattern because in your opinion that's the best way to live. It took years for me to understand and be okay with not achieving something by a 'certain' age.

Anyone who's struggling with their age and thinking 'I've done nothing all these years' Shhh!
