Here's what I'm grateful for this year:

I just spent an embarrassing amount of time #journaling with various colorful gel pens. Don't judge. It's #Christmas. (I don't know why that's a solid defense, but it feels right).

2017 has been an incredibly painful #growth year for me. I think everyone goes through rapid fire change every few decades. For me, the most challenging years of my life would be 11 years old and this past year.

But at the end of each, I've arrived at a much #healthier, more independent state of living. So anyway, it feels right to end the year with some reflection. I hope you'll join me and tell me a few things that you're #grateful for this year (even if it's a idiotic as colorful gel pens).

I'm grateful for:

-My independence (in so many ways).
-My new apartment (it needs work, but I will make it beautiful).
-My friend Maria, and her compassion.
-My friend Verona, and her clarity.
-My friend Anne, and her support.
-Time to heal and rest.
-Universe-bending first kisses.
-Car accidents. I was in 4 car accidents this year (each one I was hit unexpectedly by someone breaking the law) that put me out of work. Each crash was a warning that I needed to change, or that change was coming. Even though it sucked, I can look back on those accidents as a time when I was pushing myself too hard or moving too fast - so fast that I was completely in a state of anxiety all the time.
-I have rent paid for. I have a roof over my head.
-I love my new roommate.
-I have lots of new games to play when I get the time. They are just waiting for me.
-I am grateful for therapy, without which I would have lost my mind months ago.
-I am grateful for popcorn. It always works.

Those seem awkward and clunky to me, but for some reason I just wanted to post something on #Steemit and this kept circling around my head.

I know the holidays can be a weird time for those less fortunate and it's really easy to have panic attacks around this time. So maybe go easy on yourself this year. :)

I'm going easy on myself by eating a bagel, lighting a candle and feeling like a fancy, fancy b*tch.

Cheers <3
