...everything went okay?
SO FAR, there has been no strangeness worth noting...I am confused and a bit concerned that some great horrific event i building up, as usually by now there has been something. At most the only odd thing was that we had three different people in wheelchairs getting comics at the same time.
Since I have nothing strange to report, I will briefly run down the glorious rockstar life that goes on once the show ends.
The show ends at 7:00, it takes about 20 minutes to break down the booth ( the banner and stuff stays up but we clear the table and shovel the pile of misc. garbage up and throw it out), and secure anything that might be of interest to vandals or degenerates in case we're late getting in the next day. The walk 5 blocks to the trolley, get on the trolley packed like sardines. The trolley ride to the serial killer looking hotel is 30 minutes ( it is about 3 blocks from Mexico as that is how far you have to travel to not have to pay 400.00 a night...as every hotel in San Diego jacks the room rates up for Comic-con) . By the time I get off the trolley it is me, some bums, and several guys who look like they are part of MS13. Then about a mile walk to the hotel. Then I watch basic cable for about a half an hour and fall asleep. After 10 full hours of talking to people and doing sketches...I have no interest in hanging out, going to any parties, or even being social...I just want to hide.
I suppose I should have made up something more interesting..let me start over...
I go to some massive party filled with booze, drugs and comic book groupies and partake in a giant orgie, after which I drive all the groupies I banged to a pharmacy to get morning after pills because no condom can stop my super human sperm once they are fired off in a direction. THEN onto the trolley...NO..then I get in Limo...to a rented penthouse.
...anyway, I haven't had a chance to try to upload video and I am pretty exhausted and about to leave to begin day four. Saturday is usually the busiest day...and buy busy I mean 160,000 people in one building. Which is bad for them but good for me.
I'll have some pics up tomorrow and maybe video and...possibly ( hopefully not) some story of some catastrophe.
I'll respond to everybody tonight.
Later, and keep thinking good thoughts.
