The Chronicles of 360discoVR in photos [2015]

Let me introduce you my company Limelite | 360discoVR - international video360 service production house.

In this post I want to tell you how we started in 2015. Get ready, there will be a lot of photos.

2015 was a year of first things for us. First tests. First problems. First solutions. First clients.

My friend Artem (yes, he's name is Artem too) and I decided to create the best video 360 company in Ukraine.

After our discovering world's best practices we start to think about own solutions because there wasn't any opportunity to buy all components for shooting spherical video in our country.

We bought Xiaomi Yi cameras for our first rig and at the same time, we started to print other components with 3d printer. We worked in Robotics Laboratory of IT STEP so there was a lot of cool staff for prototyping.

First 3d-printed VR-headset to watch our videos was printed by our friends from ADDDITIVE.

After disappointment in other people's models, we began to develop and print our own rigs. Here are some examples:

As the result:

It's Dan our first viewer and tester. Sometimes he felt bad ;-)

After a while, we created the final model of the rig that we used to shoot video 360.

It was the universal rig for GoPro and Yi cameras.

We used this solution in many projects and created a lot of interesting videos.

At the end of 2015, we started to develop another rig for shooting 8K 360 videos.
