People want to make friends!

in blog •  7 years ago

It’s in the nature of people to desire acceptance. To be accepted as a person. Whether it’s in a family group, be part of an existing club, school friendships, at work, or whatever.

Acceptance of our talents:

Often we’re not accepted on our home ground, early classified and pre-labelled. For example:

  • Jesus wasn’t accepted in Capernaum, known as `his `own city’, where he lived at the beginning of His ministry and did many miracles! They didn’t even recognize that they had someone very important in their mist! Matthew 13:54-57

And families can be critical. Maybe because they think they’re helping you to do better. Or perhaps your choice of career was against their wishes, so that your skill was discouraged. Then when you do become successful or famous, they are very surprised.

And, my own humble experience: Every now and again an old acquaintance will ask the question, “Are you still painting?!” Can you believe it? Really! How can an artist ever stop painting, it’s in their blood!

Has that ever happened to you?

Most of us start out as strangers on the internet. And surprisingly, you’ll find strangers out there worldwide have more respect for you and your talent or expertise, than those back on your home turf.

Friendly acceptance:

Friendships and relationships are built differently on Facebook compared with Twitter.  And Steemit relationships are different from making comments on websites.

Even though they differ, in each case, people want to make friends and build a following. And for that to happen, they realize been positive is more appealing then been negative. And for a relationship to be established or deal finalized, there is a need for a clear understanding and agreeable acceptance.

The part of acceptance, is the need to build trust.

Personality and behaviour patterns:

People take note of your background, knowledge, how you write and present your blogs, and compare your portfolio with other websites, products or info out there on the internet, before they accept you, your expertise or product.

The acceptance of your website, the building of fans or followers, doesn’t happen overnight. It takes constant input in on your part, to show you’re a loyal friend and supporter.

Friend-shipping is part of marketing:

Building friendships and followers is building connections. The more connections you have, the more chances of you been accepted internationally.

So if people want to make friends, welcome them with `open-arms’. Give them `tea-and-cake’ hospitality. That is, give them what they are looking for and expect to find on your website and in your blogs. A fun place to be… where everything exciting is happening.

Very lovely article. It very nice to read your article. Hope someday people will do realise how hard to find some data. Research and a lot of read. It never been easier.

yes good post, we say that people are social in there nature so no one can live alone all of us must have friend.

I like your thoughts

One day I will come to your home for testing Tea and Cake for sure :)

Sorry, but I'm not a good cook. Cakes come out as pancakes! My speciality is art. My husband has taken over the cooking.

No matter who is in charge of Kitchen, my intention is to have some good for taste with some special people like you and your family :p

nice

I always try to explain that to my other artist friends who seem to have trouble selling their work. Great article!

It shows you you have to be out there, even mixing with old friends more often, to get seen and believed.
Of cause there are people who `hide-their-heads-in-the-sand', to ask silly questions!

Very true post. Once we interact "one on one" we tend to like one another regardless of what is in the "news".

nice very nice

I will say yes you are right that its human nature that it wants acceptance and applause from society... but the thing is not everyone is accepted as esteemed person.. we must have some talent that people like ....

Should we assume,we as human beings do not like to like the works of the people we know ?

I used to think this kind of things happen n only here in my country Uganda!

When I worked in galleries doing demos, people were excited and thrilled by my work.
When I got home there was food to make, etc. Housework was more important to my family than pretty pictures! And others wondered what I did all day, every day! Forgetting I had to complete commissions and build up new stock, besides housework, shopping, etc.

Public acceptance of my hard work post on steemit... Still on the way. Acceptance acceptance where are you :)

Jesus Christ did miracles, but still He wasn't recognized for He really was!
Don't give up on inspiration. Keep up your friendly attitude and perhaps miracles will happen.

it never happened to me. and I will always try to be the best in their eyes. let them acknowledge my existence. outside or in the family.

True that building relationships and connections is important. Its like growing your community.

Yes, been an `out-going' friendly person works wonders. But been a helpful and interesting person sweetens the relationship.

Treat networking in your business as making friends too. Hell of a lot easier.

Nice post. Thanks for sharing this post. @thunderland

When you have a successful person they would count their true trusting friends usually on one hand. Then you have those crawlers who try to crawl into the insides of their successful inner circle. The crawlers are only there to suck the blood they will never love. Your inner beauty doesn`t need communication with anyone. Your inner beauties are heading only in one direction and that is back home to God. It is your outer beauty that desires that human communication.

I realised how defensive I had become from working in a political environment, when I joined a group for, "Fun", it has taken me a while to adjust to a group of genuinely nice people.

Thanks for your input. When joining a new group or starting a new job, I found it's wise to observe everyone and what's happening around me, before making any judgement or taking action. It makes a smoother introduction and acceptance into the network.
