I am Taking a Break for Three to Five Days

Many of us are having the same issues and many of us are already upset by the current state of things on this site at the moment so I am not going to rehash all that stuff. I did not realize how many resource credits actions like following and unfollowing cost and, in an attempt to clean the dead accounts out of my following list, I drained my resource credits to next to nothing (I think that I may still have enough to post this though). Like many others, I also saw my voting power drop dramatically (I was pretty low to begin with so I can't claim to be super salty about that though).

Anyway, I still plan to give things a chance and to see if these issues resolve themselves. I like this site, I like the people here, and I like the communities that I am a part of. That being the case, I have no plans to quit anytime soon. However, the state of my account and my severe lack of voting power and resource credits means that I will need to take a break from posting, commenting, voting, and claiming rewards for a few days. If you are someone who I frequently upvote or engage with, please don't think that I am ignoring you. I will be back to my normal content creation, engagement, and voting behavior after everything recharges. I would rather be interacting, writing , and earning Steem than sitting around but I need to make sure I have the ability to do those things and the only way to do that, as far as I can tell (aside from buying more Steem, which is a tall order for me at the moment), is to let my power and credits build back up.

If you happened to be looking forward to my normal content about psychedelics and weed, my personal philosophy, or how "the man" is screwing us, I apologize for this delay. I will be back to posting my normal content in three to five days so please don't forget about me in the meantime because I will absolutely be returning shortly.

Peace.

Thanks. It looks like things have improved so maybe I can get something out tomorrow now.

Yes, I believe a patch went into effect which makes things cost less RC... something like that. Be careful though. Budget wisely.

If you didn't already know about that.

Haha that is always the first window I open when I get on here to screw around on steemit.

I am not pleased with this myself, how long do I need to wait to post something?

I'm only willing to comment right now because they claim that they are going to put out a patch tonight (tonight in whatever location the author was in I suppose) that is going to increase our RCs by a factor of 10 which should greatly improve the situation. Right now I can only post 28 comments at full power if I want to drain all my power and not do anything else. If that was 280 things might be doable. If you haven't checked already that info can be found on steemd/@yourname.

Your RCs are based on your Sp so if you have liquid steem or sbd you may want to consider powering that up. When things calm down, then maybe you could delegate some and earn a little from it that way. I gave to canna-curate and I (under normal steemit conditions) get a pretty okay upvote from them and their trail on one post a day.

Thank you for the info, this is really rough on regular users. I don't see this attracting many new users lol.

I think things may be fixed (kind of) now. Before my comments were like 5% of my rc and now it is less than one.

The credits seem to be charging faster too.

Good to hear, I was finally able to post!

Good luck, I'm automating as much as I can at this point so I don't have to deal with Steemit directly anymore here after the next day or two.

Thank you for letting us know you will be off for a few days. It's totally understandable, and many are also taking a break to wait for equilibrium.

I'm pretty burned out on topic myself, and your words of frustration resonate with most of us. If feels like something dirty certainly happened, regardless of the contradictions by those who are a part of it.

Now let's see if I have enough "RC's" to post this....

Nope... Had to use my alt account.

Here's how I feel if you are interested in reading.
