Hiya Steemains.

Wanted to share with you guys how sometimes people can really mess your day up by sending you measurements like this

So the first picture is the customers idea for an 2 level planter they want building, it has 3 containers one is 2 foot by 2 foot and the other two planters are a foot a piece, seems alright yes?

Well not really, this is confusing, lucky I know the customer and I now where in the garden it is going to go, as I think these measurements are a little out. there is a few questions i would have asked, how high do you want your legs on the planter. what is the total height? and how high do they want the base.

Now I put a base in all planters but I put them at different heights, so if you were having a conifer in the planter it would be a low base, of your having some flowers it would be a high base.

now the legs on these things need to be the right height, now if they are too low then you could have drainage issues, but that will not be a problem as I know these guys so I know now what I am too do.

the second picture is a gate they want making, this is to keep dogs out of their garden, they have 2 dogs that rip and poop everywhere and they have a certain part of the garden that they keep, well lets call it dog free.
they have been using an old gate that was made like 20 years ago, but it doesn't fit so every now and again their dogs come running into the garden.

The dogs are friendly enough but they have 2 wee children and they could easily knock them over or hurt them, so they are playing it safe.

So I asked them for the measurements of the gate they want, and the second picture is what i got sent, great that init?

Which way around does the gate go? which way does it open and close? what size wood do they need? makes me wonder too. we will have to see tomorrow when I turn up at their house with a random size gate won't we. haha.

happy steeming guys

thanks @papa-pepper for the gif
