Saturday Tip | Who Cares About Content? I Do!

in blog •  7 years ago

Just like in the Yin and Yang, writing and reading is a two-way collaboration where one cannot thrive without the other.

More bloggers need to become or be reminded of this. Without the two way conversation they may as well be shouting into the wind and hoping their voice is picked up by someone down wind.

The blogger also need to understand that if they do not interact with their readers, they are going to lose those few who were reading, commenting, and voting on their post. Steemit is not a magazine where you just throw your words out, get paid, go to the bar have a drink, then go home and tell your family, if you have one, how much today sucked.

Write, respond, and react, and people will come back.

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

Sort Order:

@bashadow if someone is taking time creating content instead of picking it from the internet, does he/she/it have time to go through the whole steemian process after?

Yes, for some they do have the time or make the time to go through the process of reading and responding to their audience. No, some do not have the time or make the time to read and or respond to their audience. Which person has the better content? Steemit gives almost instant feedback, and an Author/blogger can accept it, use it or ignore it.

I agree. Some may be too preoccupied with other things that they either forget to check for comments and respond, or don't care at all. We just got to make time like we do for the things that we care about and nurture for it to grow.

And that is why you will have an audience, while others that start with one will lose some audience members along the way. It is the caring and nurturing that count, when that ends, people turn away.
