One of my favourite pieces at the Hippie Shop

I first mentioned the Hippie Shop aka New Age Markets in this post but it's a place I've known long before we moved up to the Mountains.

Its kind of a must go to place to visit up here, well, for me anyway.

Located right across from Springwood train station it's easily accessible. Cafes and pubs scattered nearby provides places for hubbies to wait in comfort while the Mrs is at the Hippie Shop.

It truly is perfectly situated and they make use of every single inch of the place.

This is one of 4 similar isles in the shop. A few of us locals laugh at how everyone hugs their handbags whenever they go in the shop.

It's packed full of beautiful things top to bottom.

Gemstone Jewelry

You guys would be proud of the restraint I showed in this department.

I took the photos and walked away. The lady asked if I wanted anything out of the cabinets but it's never a good idea to actually hold it, cos then you'll have to get it.

OMG. These teapots! These are actually just a few of them, they had more teapots in another section.

Mineral Specimens

Squee!!! Either these are new or I missed them all the other times I was there. They have a nice selection too!

Pyramid candles!

How amazing are these? As someone who used to make candles I can tell you some serious skills went into these babies.

They would need to pre-make the coloured bits then pour the wax in without melting the pre-made bits, AND making sure there was no air bubbles so the candle comes out of the mold whole.

The makers of these did a fabulous job.

More Santas

The main reason we went to Springwood to begin with was to go back and get that Santa snow globe.

We tossed around the idea of getting 2 globes but in the end we got one and a wooden advent calendar

By far the coolest Santa we have.

And then there's this.

I hoped they had a brand new one in the box, but they didn't. As you can see there's knobs missing and it's looking a bit banged up.

But it's still cute as.f and my inner DIYer is saying "You gots this!", also it was down to half price.

I have huge plans for this thing next year.

Every year Hubby and I would try to out gift each other, nothing major just little things. This year, with Steemit and the house, I was too busy to buy him a present.

Yes. I am the slack woman that didn't buy her fiance a damn thing for Christmas.

He claimed all his crystal hauls as his Christmas presents.

Which is fair enough, but still, I feel bad.

So next year I'm making it up to him by putting random goodies in the boxes. I was originally thinking a different crystal in each box, but might be better if I spiced it up a bit with chocolates here and there.

Tomorrow I will be unleashing my inner DIYer on this baby and changing it up. Watch this space!

So...? Who wants to go to the Hippie Shop? I wasn't kidding when I said they have EVERYTHING in there.
