I'm not coming back sober!

So I work at city center and just so it happens my work is near a park called "Vermanes garden". For the past few years it has a yearly beer fest going on in it where they blast shitty Schlager music nonstop. My office windows and balcony are facing the park and during the hot days we keep the windows open. This is torture...

Today @thebunbun had a day off and decided to join me on my lunch break and explore the beer fest. I'm beercake after all...

Yeah it was pretty empty during the lunch hours. Just some tourists starting their drunken adventures early.

We went around looking for some food and good beer. No ordinary beer would do this time! We needed something that was so hipster we hadn't even heard of it.

We found some animal carcasses.... not quite what we were looking for...

This one was fake... no burger meat from this bad boy.

Yeah... nope... Pigs snot is not something I would consider edible... but some people do and consider it a delicacy. Go figure...

Mountains of bread. Cool. Got any butter?

Finally found something hipster enough to try! @thebunbun got her a beer called "Goats leg". Tasted slightly better than the name would imply.

Meanwhile I got myself a beer from one of my favorite craft beer breweries - Labietis. I got myself a beer called "White witch". I would describe it as sweet berry beer.

Now the time was to find some food...

Yuuuuusss! Finally a burger van I was looking for!

After having delicious burger and tasty beer it was time to head back and work. The lunch break had taken long enough.

When I left work 4 hours later this was full of tourists and locals listening to some has-beens singing terrible covers of songs from 2016... Thing is - most people are so drunk there they don't care at that point...
If I was a tourist - I would be totally hyped for this. It really is a great way to experience the rich and diverse beer scene of Latvia!
