Sometimes even a Front-End dev bootcamp can have a slow news day.
Our project is at this weird Lagrangian point where there is a pull to continue work on the MVP and finish ironing out the wrinkles and a pull to start looking forward to the mobile app. So today was a day where we didn't really try to introduce many new features into the product but we spent time trying to make things work better and fixing errors in our various Github pushes and pulls.
If it were an NBA season it would be one of the mid-season games right before the All-Star break when people are still trying to win but also just looking forward to the weekend and the other half of the season.
While working on the mobile app would be nice we already have a working product. All it needs are the right media queries and styling touches and it can be used on small viewport devices. So I am probably going to tackle that tomorrow and up to the weekend. Working in React Native would be really nice and get me some great resume experience. But I've got experience with CSS and styling for small devices so I think, for the sake of the product, I should just focus my experience where it counts.
And if I finish quickly enough I can jump into the React Native development cycle and still get some experience there!
Tomorrow will be the official 7 day countdown to the unveiling of the app. I intend to spend at least part of every day on campus studying and working. No need to wuss out in the final week after working so hard for the previous 10 weeks. But the burnout is definitely real and the weekend after classes finish is going to be the best sleep I've had in a long time! Not exactly a big revelation, I know.
But in other news...
