A Success!
Last night at Rockwood Music Hall was epic! We got there fairly early and didn't see any of our friends & family who told us they would come, so we got a little worried. lol But once we got setup on the stage and took that first glance at the audience we saw all those smiling faces, some familiar, some unfamiliar but all ready to hear what we had to say.
This first picture was taken by Chris' little sister Lucia who is a star in her own right, spanning the world with her visual art. Read about her work here: https://i-d.vice.com/en_uk/article/qvnbkd/lucia-hierro-bodega-exhibition-mercado-red-bull-detroit
It was great seeing her and other family and friends who came to support.
It was a bit nerve racking to perform with our new loop pedal for the first time. But we pulled it off! We only rehearsed everyday for about two and a half weeks. It was hard getting coordinated enough to both push buttons on the little box while singing harmonies and engaging the crowd. But again, it was super fun and everyone in the audience was along on our journey. It was truly awesome how connected we all felt as the songs formed. Of course, we wouldn't have been able to make the same impact without Chris' other sibling, Henry who you can see playing bass guitar. He recorded the parts on "Hold On" & "Curves Into Grooves", so it brought a whole other level of authenticity to those tunes. It was great having him with us adding some low end grooves to our crazy. You will be seeing a lot more of him as we begin our regular livestream (more details soon).

Last night's crowd wasn't lacking in the celebrity department either. We had two awesome Latin artists present. Xtassy, music producer and good friend (one half of A&X producer team of Don Omar's "Danza Kuduro") and actress Dascha Polanco from the popular show Orange is the New Black. She is a real sweetheart and we got to hang with both of them a bit afterwards which was fun.
Lastly we wanted to share the picture of this happy blonde who we only know as Daryll. Her and her partner were introduced to Break Out The Crazy for the first time last night and they became instant fans. They even offered to bring us to their business in LA to perform our music to which we responded: let's go! lol (We will keep you posted on that). They weren't the only newcomers to the band of crazies (we're still working on a good name for our fan club), folks kept coming up afterwards and telling us how much they loved our music and energy which was really touching to hear.
As you can see we've started selling our T-shirts at our shows which is a real blessing. If you want your own you can now order them directly from our website: https://www.breakoutthecrazy.com/shop
In the end we were physically destroyed from it all (and carrying all of our stuff) but it was so worth it. We couldn't be happier or more grateful to be able to share our creations with real people. This last shot is of Chris' sister and Katya at the end of the night, posing in front of the sign which contains our name in very small text. A memory forever etched in our hearts. On to the next one!
