Exciting Times Ahead!

Hey everyone!

Carson here, crypto enthusiast, blockchain researcher and videogame developer. I have been inactive for some time now. I have not completely left the space and still lurk, however I've become busy with some new projects.

Projects

Seed

After finishing the Seed project, a few hiccups prevented me from launching it, however I still was able to use this research project as the focus of my thesis and finish my degree!

Guilds of Gods

Afterwards, I joined my colleague on a videogame we had been designing together called Guilds of Gods. Guilds of Gods is a indie mmorpg that is currently live in public alpha! It's been an exciting last year and a half working on the project and I am incredibly happy with how its gone!

Seed was originally supposed to power Guilds of Gods. Guilds of Gods was going to be the first decentralized application running on Seed. With Seed not launching, Guilds of Gods was no longer forced to deal with blockchain limitations and now runs on a server we developed instead. We are very open to integrating it with a SMT in the future, but for the time being, are just excited to create a mmorpg :)

Personal Life

My personal life has also been crazy this last two years. Towards the last few months of my blogging here, I started dating a wonderful woman who lives in another country. So far we have done six trips together! If it weren't for this Coronavirus fear, I would be posting this from her place, however sadly fate is cruel, borders are tight and travel restricted... Soon though, this will all blow over, and the happiest part of my life will thrive again :)

Time To Split!

Today is a big day for STEEM. Everyone is familiar with the Steemit Inc. acquisition, the disagreements between Steemit Inc. and the community voted witnesses, and the STEEM fork coming out today called HIVE. This whole predicament, as well as some other unrelated events recently, has rekindled my excitement for blockchain ecosystems. As such, I will be blogging again and get back into this space!

To celebrate, I have just purchased 5520 STEEM for my account pre-fork. I will be posting to both chains and hope both chains can thrive, however my heart does go out to HIVE, where I will be focusing the majority of my efforts.
