After a nuclear apocalypse caused by man during a third World War, the 318 survivors listed take refuge in space stations and manage to live and reproduce there, reaching 4000. But 97 years later, mother ship, L'Arche, is in a pitiful condition. About 100 young delinquents imprisoned over the years for crimes or betrayals are chosen as guinea pigs by the authorities to go down to Earth and test the chances of survival. As soon as they arrive, they discover a dangerous but fascinating new world ...

The 100 is a quite long series to start I admit so try to force yourself to watch the first 3-4 episodes. The scenario is set up slowly but the rhythm intensifies as the series progresses. I do not think that the story is original, a nuclear war or a "3rd World War" that forces survivors to live in space was already done many times. The special effects are not too bad and the actions are not lacking. Lots of surprises and adventures with mutiple dramatic tensions. More violent than you might think, this series is a very good entertainment where it is difficult to get bored.
