Break is a time to recharge your batteries and gear up for the next semester. I know that I always say that I am going to be efficient over break but it never seems to work out. Here are some things that you always say you are going to do but never end up doing over break.
Cut Back on drinking
You are back from college. You are no longer around the bad influences of your "friends", so there is no reason for you to drink. You tell your self that you are going to be taking it easy over break. You are going to give your liver some time off. There is no reason to drink. Next thing you know you are pounding screwdrivers at 10AM because you were a little bored. You and I both know that you are going to drink and that's fine. Just try to hide it as best as you can from your parents.
You are not going to text your Highschool girlfriend
You said that you weren't going to do it. She isn't worth it. But by the time it is last call things have changed. You don't want to go back home to your parent's house alone for the 2nd night in a row. You text your ex. Even if they respond this is still not a good look for you. You look desperate and will regret it in the morning. Just rub one off and go to sleep!
Talk Politics at Christmas dinner
You try not to bring it up but your liberal uncle was baiting you during the entire dinner until you blow up into a republican furry. You tell him off and cause a scene. But it wasn't really your fault, of course, it was his. Mom is made, dad is drunk and you and your uncle are throwing fists. Oddly enough nothing much has changed since last year, so at least you are consistent.
You are going to look for a job
You say you are going to go on LinkedIn, talk to your alumni network, and send your resume to 50 companies. In reality, you end up playing call of duty for hours and then masturbating yourself to sleep. At this time you start to think to yourself that living with your parents isn't that bad. Then you mom catches you rubbing one out to some weird anime porn.
