It Won't Be a Party

Have you ever heard or heard of people saying they can't wait to get to Hell, that they'll have a great party with all their friends? There are some who believe that after we leave this plane of existence, there is nothing else. We simply cease to exist.

One scripture in the Bible that has always puzzled me is in Mark, chapter 9, where Jesus the Christ is warning people of doing harm to one of His little ones....verse 44 says: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. So what is their worm?

I have been is discussions with those who thought it was the worms that lie with us after burial, eating away our burial clothes and any flesh they can eat. But these worms are personal, "their worms", not just any or all worms. Theirs is a personal possessive pronoun indicating there are more than one person and that each has their worms. And these worms do not die.

From young adulthood, I had always thought the verses referred to the soul but in those discussions, no one I had ever spoken to linked these worms to the soul of mankind. The closest I had come to others' awareness of "our" worms is what little I know of the kundalini spirit which is described somewhat as a serpent goddess waiting to be awakened.

Worm/serpent, serpent/worm? I don't think that is quite the answer but the kundalini has been described as a vital force. Would the soul also not be described as such? Frankly, I am still convinced that those worms are representative of our souls. Our souls do not die as our body dies. I believe our souls are eternal creations of God.

After viewing this video, I am even more convinced of it.
