Hey again everyone!
Man, it's been a while since I've done a proper blog like this. It's January 1st, 2019 as I write this, which means as of now I've officially done a post for every day of 2018 (just a few hours late- I had a party and couldn't finish before midnight).
It's hard to believe it's been a full year. On the one hand, I still remember sitting at my friend's computer as he explained to me the world of Steemit, and eventually coming to the idea of doing a post every day for the year as a sort of new years resolution. On the other hand, that feels like it was centuries ago. In the time I've been doing this, I went from being home for the holidays to going back to university, then dropping out of university, starting a job, and now planning a trip to England. If I really think about it, I can remember the struggle each day of trying to find a topic to write or draw about, but as a whole it doesn't really feel it's been that long.
I'm tempted to say how doing a daily blog profoundly changed my life, but... I honestly don't know. The fact that I managed means I either learned to commit to a task, or that I was always able to and just never had a reason before, but I can't say which. I have learned that writing a multi-paragraph talk on whatever subject every day is a lot to ask of myself- I quickly ran out of subjects, and on sick days it was hard to write even about things I wanted to. Doing comics wasn't exactly easy, but it was definitely more manageable, and looking back I can definitely see a lot of improvement in the quality of them.
As for the future- I honestly don't think I'll be sticking to a daily schedule. I will try to keep doing regular content, and if I have enough ideas it could well be daily, but I'll try to avoid stressing myself out over coming up with things from now on.
It's definitely been an interesting time, and I'm happy to say I completed my challenge. Thank you to anyone who stuck around for any duration of it!
