Sis and I won tickets to E3 by submitting a VR demo at ESA Loft Video Game Fellowship and made it to the top ones to get go Washington D.C for the White House Trip during 2016.

Lack of exposure to VR.
took bus to go to hackathons, conferences, meetups that has VR. Heck we went up and down between LA, SJ, & SF on weekends for VR...for a year because previously there was hardly any frequent VR events in LA

Cost Barriers
borrowing VR laptops from friends or went to co-working spaces that has them
