Amber Rudd resigns following the Windrush generation scandal. The Home Secretary has been on the defense since the story broke with several calls for her resignation. Several sources close to the Home secretary claim the countless stories took a toll on her. It appears that the Home secreatary wasn't aware what was taking place and have taken steps to address the matter. What has become clearer now, Amber Rudd has left PM Theresa May to face the music on her own. This timing would not fit well with Theresa May as she faces concern EU officials who could easily throw the Windrush generation scandal in her face making negotiation tougher. For Amber Rudd its a sad ending, promising political career even sights of leadership were possible but she would have a lot of ground to cover to get this scandal behind her.
Things can get very ugly for Theresa May as the court would now entertain cases of cluster of death at the detention center. On the bright side Amber Rudd won't have to deal with it and Theresa May would have to explain how under her watch British citizens suffered, some even facing death. One of the case smells real bad as one of the witnesses of these atrocities were threaten with deportation back to Jamaica (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/apr/28/amber-rudd-attempt-deport-immigration-witness-blocked-high-court). There is also the case of the famous cricket who at the age of 74 was threaten with deportation after representing England and holding several honorable position in county cricket.
The coming days and weeks would be tough task for Theresa May as the media piles in on the stories, even those closest to Theresa May are distancing themselves as MP's consider the longevity of their political career. Amber Rudd could hit back as she owes no loyalty to Theresa May if May decides to use her as the scapegoat. Amber Rudd inherited this from Theresa May. The sad part of this story if May remains she would have to face the same Caribbean leaders who she was ignoring since 2014 to get some form of post-Brexit plans going. When you can rounds up innocent elderly citizens from their homes, cause lost of jobs, benefits, and healthcare, what sort of influence can you really have in the Caribbean and by extension the Commonwealth......
