My Trip to Cape Town Trough Garden Route : Port Elizabeth

in blog •  7 years ago  (edited)

The garden route covers 200 kilometers of spectacular drive that covers national forests, beaches and may more. Garden route includes Tsitsikamma National Park and Wildnerss National Park with 65000 ha of forest in surrending areas of Knysna. Gaurden route has breathtaking view of Stroms river and Matjies river.

We can see "First Seafood Restaurant" in Klasies River as there are number of caves found recently with human leftovers and stoon tools used by people 125 000 years ago. We started from Centurion to Cape Town via Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Knysna, George, Stellenbosh and Cape Town.

We have travelled around 1200 kilometers and reached Port Elizabeth, city which includes long history the heritage that has been taken from different cultures. Few places to see in Port Elizibeth are St.George's Park, Donkin Reserve, Kings, Beach and others. As we were travelling on Christmas day many of the places are closed and we quickly moved to Knysna garden route.

Here are the few pics we clicked on the way:-

Thanks for sharing your travel experience with us, you have captured both man made architectures and nature's beauty, like beautiful sky, mountains, sea, road view and bridges. Keepup the great work.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

The first time I read about Port Elizabeth was in my first year in college. My literature teacher had introduced us to the epic book, Sizwe Bansi is Dead, which details the harsh conditions blacks are subjected to under the apartheid regime.

This essay, frankly, has graphically painted the picture of Port Elizabeth and I don't even need to see it to be there . Thanks for the good work.

Great photos!
