Hello steemians and buddies !!!
Let me share my views on one of the most fundamental problems that all of us face in our day-to-day lives. As we all know life is an ever-going battle that ends only when we breathe our last. To the very last moment, we have to fight in this battlefield of life. Here we come face to face with heterogeneous and multitude of experiences. These experiences are the result of all that we go through in our daily lives.
Many a time we have pleasant experiences that make us happy. On the other side, sorrows and pains keep putting us to the test time and again. If we have to weigh both happiness and sorrow, all of us will agree that sorrows and painful experiences far outweigh the happy moments in life.
The sad part is that most of us fall apart when it comes to facing the testing times. It is quite natural for all of us to be deeply affected by whatever we go through in terms of sorrows, frustrations and problems of day-to-day life. Being humans, we are bound to be emotionally and mentally affected by the tragedies of life. But the sad part is that we fail miserably when it comes to showing endurance and patience while in the face of stark realities of life.
Even the happy moments of life affect us emotionally, though they have a positive and healthy effect on us. But the harsh realities of life are much more hard to bear and if someone can face the tragic moments of life stoically or without being emotionally shattered by the painful impact of the negative forces, then he/she is a person of exemplary courage. He is an example for others to follow or in other words, he knows the secret to live life peacefully and happily.
Here it is important to note that grown-ups are more affected by the ups and downs of life than the kids who get emotionally affected only for a while. It is a harsh reality that grown-ups who should be emotionally strong enough to withstand the painful experiences of life are the ones who are prone to stress, depression and emotional breakdown.
On the other hand, kids here emerge as far stronger because they regain their evenness of mind much earlier than the elder ones around them.
So it goes without saying that we must learn from kids how to cope with the frustrations and negative emotions. True goes the saying that 'Child is the Father of Man'. When we compare the capacity and inner strength of both children and grown-ups, the conclusion becomes self-evident that kids are far better-equipped to put up with the harsh and painful realities of life.
Now we come to the focal point of this discussion that is - 'How to face or accept the bitter truths of life without in anyway being emotionally affected?'
The answer is quite simple and self-evident, though for many it may seem a hard nut to crack. The problems have always troubled us and they will keep troubling us, however hard we may try to evade them. If there is a person who seeks to achieve complete happiness in life by not facing the sorrows of life, he is without any doubt living in a fool's paradise. He can't achieve happiness in life because he is trying to attain something that is undeniably unattainable.
Complete happiness can definitely be achieved, but one can be absolutely happy by changing his outlook towards life. Someone who knows that life is a mix of both ups and downs and evil must be faced with a smile on face, he is the one who has got the key to absolute happiness.
Happiness is not something external or something that is away from us. It always resides within us. All we need to do is to understand that happiness is nothing but a state of mind. If we can accept both the good and the evil equitably and without in a way getting emotionally affected, we will then come to know that happiness is always within.
We will then get the answers to all our queries regarding how to be happy even when we are surrounded by all sorts of troubles and problems from all sides. Even if you find it difficult to make both ends meet and even if you are leading a financially unstable life, you can be perfectly happy if you can accept this bitter reality of your life.
It doesn't mean that you should not strive to improve your lot. You must work hard to move ahead in life and you must continue to strive to provide all the amenities and happiness to your near and dear ones. But you must do all this with a calm mind, with a mind-set that life is like a coin with two sides consisting of mirth and pains. You can't attain happiness without facing the problems, sorrows and difficulties.
When you have come to terms with this basic truth of life, you will attain complete happiness. Therefore, be even-minded, by calm and be happy. ............... Thanks a lot.

What a great view .
Life is about balance good and bad.
At the moment we have not had any wars or major hardship in Australia. Which is good !
However with the lack of hardship it makes little things seem like major problems when really they are just trivial things . Of course we do not feel this way whilst going through them and they quite often lead to unhappiness.
Thank you for sharing,
Have an awesome day!
