Many stores right now are advertising that they are not going to be giving out any refunds for paper products like toilet paper.
If you make the decision to stock up and buy hundreds or thousands of dollars worth or a certain product right now, then later want some money back, it will be a big fat no from the retail managers.
For one man who spent about $10,000 on toilet paper products and hand sanitizer, he likely isn't too pleased with the refund changes.
The individual in question had purchased 50 32-packs of toilet paper and for sanitizer, he grabbed 150 32oz bottles of it. I guess he isn't having much luck with selling so he came to the store looking for a refund. The store refused.
With places like Esty, Amazon, and Ebay, cracking down on online selling right now for these products, it's becoming more difficult for people to find easy ways to unload their haul.
For others who made the similar mistake of buying too much and trying to sell it for a hiked price later, a variety of stories have described those individuals as finally making the move to give the items to charity or first responders, especially after receiving aggressive backlash from their communities.
Because of the risk that people have faced with scorn from the community and even their own families reacting in shame, it hasn't worked out so well for many in the last few weeks who've tried to engage in some profitable retail arbitrage.
