I couldn't agree with you more @kevinwong the way I see it is if I want to make my way here then I need to network like crazy and improve my content time and time again. The problem however is society is transfixed with I want it now and I deserve it now even though I have not done anything to earn it. And while there is enough bots around users will use them. I am trying to work my way up in different ways and have promised myself only to use 1 bot for upvotingas it doesn't look great on your post. What does look great is the response you get on yours which is pure interaction. You only have that as you have worked hard for nearly two years, which is a lesson every newbie needs.
