FP at One: Every Story Counts

What can be best described as a grassroots movement towards upholding family rights and freedoms started here on steemit has come quite a long way these last 365+ days. It is one of the earlier groups I stumbled on during my time here on steemit after reading an article by the prolific richq11.

One thing that easily draws one in is the relatable and heartwarming nature of the stories told. In just over a year, there are more than enough stories to validate the need for their presence. The conspiracy theorist in me couldn’t rest when a baby (Alfie Evans) had to be executed (for lack of a better word) by the UK government without allowing the parents their rights to taking alternative medical decisions that may have saved his life.

The growing influence the government exerts at a family level in some of the most advanced places of the World is an Irony that begs for questioning of the motives or ideology behind them. Funny thing is how every action is seemingly justified as done out of concern or for the greater good.

Such lies have been fed to the people and quite a few have bought it. Based on the social nature of the issues at hand, evidence has been largely restricted to the stories that we come across. Because of this, it is perhaps no surprise that detractors are present who identify with the opinions of the state.

Which is why every story told is so important. While I have no objections with stories gotten off the Web, the original stories here are what has won me over fully to the cause.

One of the most compelling for those who followed happened to the Lady Snowpea and what her beautiful Family has gone through in the hands of the system. The raw emotion surrounding these tales makes one put themselves in the victims shoes.

It is stories like that and more that has made FP such a blessing during its one year of existence, but it wouldn’t mean much if it was just about the stories. Despite the personal struggles we all have to go through I have seen genuine care and compassion shown on this platform.

From assisting total strangers on the platform to the zeal towards outdoing one another with donations, the love indeed is contagious, strengthened by a conviction from doing what's right.

As long as such stories remain, the movement will only grow stronger till it becomes a voice that cannot be ignored.

Thank-you @empress-eremmy for submitting this post with the #familyprotection tag. It has been UPVOTED by @familyprotection and RESTEEMED TO OUR Community Supporters.

"Child Protection Agencies" are taking children away from their loving families.
THESE FAMILIES NEED PROTECTING.

One of the first steemians I interacted with was @richq11, too. Only it was the time when another child was murdered in the UK, Charlie Gard and we were both following his tragic story. Still mad about it...

What makes @familyprotection special is that the content ans personal stories are organic. Thy come from the heart and folks can tell the difference. Yes I too have followed @snowpea and @richq11 and others and have shed tears in their pain and triumph. Blessings.

These stories are real proof, because there are still people who do not know the truth and think that this is a conspiracy and the nonsense of a group of people!

Yet another good reason, why must be a "whale" IRL, and try to destroy the tyranny...

The state is an evil beast that needs to be put down. It's despicable efforts to destroy the family are one of the clearest demonstrations of that thesis.
