Speak to Me

I just read another heartwarming narration from the lady Snowpea. For those who follow her blog, you’d know that she’s hard her fair share of the storm, and she’s weathered it with bravery not many can boast of. All through the trials she’s met people along the way willing to offer support and show love, almost like there’s a guardian angel watching over her each step of the way. I for one am convinced there is, perhaps God is always present around and within us, if only we listen.

Maybe God doesn’t manifest in spirit form anymore, but in the flesh, through us. There are times when I am looking for just one word, or a sign to keep getting by, and people come to my aid. Maybe he manifests thorough people – using the familiars and unfamiliars. Even the Bible affirms that God is a ‘present help in time of need’. I take that to mean that he’s always there for us, even when we think otherwise.

I wish there was an easier way of knowing you’re always there God, other than 'maybe’s'. There are other times when I could’ve done with the extra assurance of your presence, yet I feel nothing. I don’t think myself strong enough to withstand trial after trial without breaking; I need a little reminder constantly that you’re there.

It could be that trials are a necessary part of building our faith up, as even Jesus experienced here on Earth. I am no Jesus though, there’s no guarantee I can overcome obstacles like he did.

Wherever you go, it is all part of the One. If you have faith, there are no obstacles. It is our ego (thoughts/demons we have bound to ourselves) that has obstacles.
